Get Outside with LÄRABAR (plus a Giveaway!)

For at least the past month, I’ve uttered the phrase “I’ll do it after the marathon” more times than I can count.

That recipe for pumpkin bread? I’ll do it after the marathon.

Take a dance class with my non-running friends? I’ll do it after the marathon.

Switch out winter clothes for summer clothes? Should have done it a month ago, but I’ll do it after the marathon.

Another thing I haven’t been able to fit in this fall during marathon training is an outdoor fall adventure. Hiking, apple picking, corn maze, pumpkin picking…they’ve all fallen to the wayside as I planned my weekends around my 18, 20, and 22-mile runs.

Corn maze = one of the best types of outdoor fall fun. (This was two years ago…)

But the marathon is just around the corner, and once I’m recovered I’ll have so much more time (I hope!) to do spend time outdoors before winter arrives. The first thing on my list will be to take a day trip outside of NYC and explore an area with more trees than city buildings!

LÄRABAR inspired me to start planning my post-marathon adventure in time for National Take A Hike Day on November 17th. (Which is a Monday…so I will probably hike a day early on Sunday!)

I’ve been a big fan of LÄRABARs for a while, so I’m very excited to be a part of this campaign. LÄRABARs are made with simple, whole foods and you can pronounce and identify every single one of the ingredients on the label, something that is very important to me!

I had never tried RENOLA, a gluten-free granola-type packet that’s perfect by itself, or over yogurt or with milk.

RENOLA with coffee-flavored Greek yogurt and banana slices. Yum.

Whether you’re eating on-the-go or living a healthy, balanced lifestyle, LÄRABAR makes it convenient to eat products with real and wholesome ingredients. Everything LÄRABAR offers is gluten-free, non-GMO and Kosher, with the majority of the products being soy-free, dairy-free and vegan.

LÄRABAR the Original Fruit and Nut Bar™  features a delicious, gluten-free blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices, with some flavors including coconut oil, chocolate chips or other simple ingredients. The bars are made from whole foods and each indulgent flavor contains no more than nine ingredients and at least ¼ cup of fruit or more. Each 1.6oz bar is non-GMO, gluten-free, Kosher and some are Fair Trade Certified.

RENOLA is a grain-free, gluten-free mix of non-GMO fruits, nuts and seeds. RENOLA is a non-bar offering from LÄRABAR and is available in a convenient, single-serve packet format for on-the-go consumption.

Join me in getting outdoors on National Take a Hike Day on November 17th!

  1. I totally understand wanting to do other things this Fall. The past three years in the Fall I always use the “ATM” term, After The Marathon for things I want to do! SO CLOSE!

I wanna try the gingerbread one 🙂
